Out of a Laboratory of Insurrectionary Imagination workshop titled 'Disobedience Makes History' hosted by Tate Modern in 2009, I became a founding member of art activist collective Liberate Tate. Over 6 years the collective of artists and activists held a series of 17 unsanctioned interventions, performances and installations in the Tate galleries to protest its 25 year relationship with oil giant BP. In 2016 Tate dropped its sponsorship deal with BP.
